This item is an early ‘Machete Sword’ from the South Seas Islands. It is thought to have belonged to a tribal warrior and dates from the early 1900’s.
The sword shows some fabulous hand carving throughout and the size is 25½" (65cm) long. It is in a good condition and would make a superb display piece. By clicking on the picture you will see a close up view of the hand carved handle of the sword.
As well as maritime artefacts, we have a large collection of African items and assorted weapons which will be listed on this website in time.
