This is a fabulous item. It is an old seaman’s ‘sea chest’, which is dated circa 1790 – 1840. It is the old adventurer’s type of chest with a skin fur cover and iron bound work. The hinges have now gone due to its old age and the lock is gone through time.
It is possible to imagine the old seaman adventurer dragging this old chest along with him during his travels. This is an original old ‘sea chest’, which would look fabulous as a display piece. The size is 27 " x 16 " (0.69cm x 0.41cm).
The P&P on this item is approximate. If purchased we will deal with any difference in price either way seperately.
(As a passing thought if this item was purchased any other smaller items which were also purchased could be placed inside it saving on the P&P. Apart from any weight increase it would save many pounds in P&P costs.)
