DESCRIPTION -- From the old vessel the SS Ithaca this is an original sailor doll souvenir which is in a good condition and a rare find with the size of item being 9"(23cm).

HISTORY -- The SS Ithaca was built in 1956 and went through a few name changes. It is ex. "Zion" of the Zim Israel shipping line.

DESCRIPTION -- From the MS Seaward of the Norwegian Cruise Line shipping company a souvenir keyring which is an early item and the size is 3" (8cm) and is in a very good condition.

CONDITION -- Very Good
HISTORY -- SuperStar Libra is a cruise ship owned and operated by Star Cruises. She was built in 1988 by Turku New Shipyard in Turku, Finland as Seaward for Norwegian Cruise Line. In 1997 she was renamed Norwegian Sea, remaining in NCL fleet. In 2005 she was transferred to the fleet of Star Cruises.

DESCRIPTION -- China plate souvenir from The Hamburg America Line which is from the vessel Bremen and is dated circa 1970's. The size is 9" (23cm) wide and due to its shape the item is a kind of a plate/bowl and is finished with a gold rim. The item is in a fantastic condition and a great display piece (click on the picture to see a close up of the emblem on the plate).

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- Formed in 1847, the Packet Company sailed from Hamburg to New York via Southampton. In the early years sailing time was about 40 days, Hamburg to New York. In 1875 the company took over the Adler Line, and in 1886, amalgamated with the Carr-Union Line. They assumed control of the passenger management of Hamburg-South America Line, German East Africa Line and Hansa Line's Canadian service in 1888. The five vessels of the Eagle Line were purchased when that company collapsed and, about 1890, they took over the Hansa Line.

DESCRIPTION -- Unused and as new this item is a luxury photo album from the fantastic cruise ship the Grand Princess from the Princess Lines Shipping Company. Being unused it is in a presentation box and the size of the item is 13" (34cm) square. Although not of ancient or old maritime value, to purchase this luxury album from onboard would cost alot more money than for sale here.

HISTORY -- At 109,000 tons the Grand Princess is too wide to fit through the Panama Canal but her size allows her to offer passengers an unmatched number of outside cabins with balconies. Grand Princess is a Grand-class cruise ship owned by Princess Cruises. Built in 1998 by Fincantieri Cantieri Navali Italiani in Monfalcone (Hull Number 5956), Italy, at a cost of approximately US$450 million, she was the largest and most expensive passenger ship ever built at the time.

DESCRIPTION -- From The SS Hamburg of The Hamburg Amerika Line this is a ships programme from on board and is dated 27th October ' 2nd November 1937. The programme has a large pull out section and is in a good condition. (click on the picture to see a large print of the menu inside)

HISTORY -- The SS Hamburg was a German ocean liner owned by the Hamburg America Line, built by the Blohm & Voss Shipbuilders of Hamburg, Germany and launched in 1926. She had a sister ship the New York. They were similar to the SS Albert Ballin. She became a naval accommodation ship for the German Navy in 1940.

DESCRIPTION -- Passenger list from the Greek Line Company vessel The Arkadia which is from 20th December 1958 and shows sailing from Tilbury, England. Also with this item is an original news sheet from the vessel called The Daily Arkadian giving details of onboard activities and excursions ashore.

CONDITION -- Very Good
HISTORY -- In late 1957, following the Torres Strait collision, the New Australia was withdrawn from service and was destined for scrapping. In January 1958 she was saved again when the Greek Line bought her and renamed her Arkadia. She was rebuilt and modernized by Blohm & Voss in Hamburg. She was now 20,259 tons, her forepeak, damaged in the collision, was extended to provide a curved stem, and she was lengthened to 590 feet. Her foremast was replaced by two king-posts. She was fitted out to carry 150 passengers in 1st class and 1150 in tourist class. On 22 May 1958 the Arkadia made her first voyage from Bremerhaven through Cherbourg, Liverpool and Greenock to Quebec-Montreal.

DESCRIPTION -- Set of deck plans and interior views from the Russian ship The MS Alexander Pushkin with the exact date not known, but is however in a superb mint condition.
