DINNER MENU FROM THE FAMOUS OLD VESSEL THE RMS QUEEN ELIZABETH DATED JULY 1965

DESCRIPTION -- Dated Monday July 5th 1965 this is a dinner menu from the old Cunard Line vessel the RMS Queen Elizabeth and is in a very good condition (click on the picture to see a view of the inside cover).

CONDITION -- Very Good

HISTORY -- RMS Queen Elizabeth, was an ocean liner of the Cunard–White Star line. It was launched in 1938 as the sister ship to the Queen Mary and served as a wartime troop transport, transatlantic ocean liner, and cruise ship until 1968. It burned during refitting in Hong Kong in 1972.

DINNER MENU FOR THE OLD CUNARD VESSEL THE QUEEN ELIZABETH DATED MAY 1959

DESCRIPTION -- From the Cunard Line vessel the RMS Queen Elizabeth and is an original ship dinner menu. It is a rare find from this vessel and it is dated 27th May 1959 and is in a very good condition.

CONDITION -- Very Good

HISTORY -- The RMS Queen Elizabeth was an ocean liner operated by the Cunard Line. With her running mate Queen Mary she provided luxury liner service between Southampton, the United Kingdom, and New York City, the United States, via Cherbourg, France. She was also contracted for over twenty years to carry the Royal Mail as the second half of the two ships' weekly express service

DESCRIPTION -- Original dinner menu from the Cunard Line vessel RMS Sylvania which is in a very good condition and is dated Sunday December 27th 1959 (click on the picture to see a view of the inside).

CONDITION -- Very Good

HISTORY -- The RMS Sylvania was an ocean liner built in 1957 by John Brown & Co (Clydebank), in Glasgow, for the United Kingdom-based shipping company Cunard Line. She was the last Cunard Line vessel built specifically for transatlantic crossings. The ship was later heavily rebuilt as a cruise ship, and sailed under the names SS Fairwind, SS Sitmar Fairwind, SS Dawn Princess and SS Albatros before being scrapped in 2004. She was renamed SS Genoa for her last voyage.

EARLY LUNCHEON MENU FROM THE CUNARD LINE VESSEL THE RMS BERENGARIA

DESCRIPTION -- From an old ship of the time the RMS Berengaria this is a ships Luncheon Menu dated Sunday 28th November 1937 which is in a good condition for its age and original from the vessel.

CONDITION -- Good

HISTORY -- Between 1920 and the entry into service of the "Queen Mary" in 1936, the Berengaria was the pride of the Cunard fleet. The ship however, was originally built for the Hamburg-Amerika Line at the Vulcan Werft shipyard at Hamburg on the river Elbe. She was originally named "Imperator" and was launched on 23 May 1912.

ORIGINAL MENU FROM THE P&O LINE VESSEL SS ORONSAY FROM JUNE 1972

DESCRIPTION -- Original dinner menu from the P&O Line vessel the SS Oronsay which is in a good condition and is dated Wednesday July 29th 1959 (click on the picture to see a view of the inside).

CONDITION -- Good

HISTORY -- SS Oronsay was the second Orient Line ship built after World War II. A sister ship to Orcades, she was named after the island of Oronsay off the west coast of Scotland. The SS Oronsay continued to operate under the Orient houseflag and retained her corn-coloured hull until 1964, when her hull was painted P&O white.

DESCRIPTION -- Original menu from the vessel the RMS Franconia which is in a good condition but with a couple of minor marks top and bottom on the inside.

CONDITION -- Good

HISTORY -- RMS Franconia started off life as the RMS Ivernia which was a Saxonia class ocean liner, built in 1955 by John Brown & Company in Clydebank, Scotland for Cunard Line, for their transatlantic passenger service between the UK and Canada. In 1963 she was rebuilt as a cruise ship and renamed RMS Franconia, after the famous pre-war liner RMS Franconia. She continued to sail for Cunard until being withdrawn from service and laid up in 1971.

DESCRIPTION -- Dating from the 1957 this is a dining menu from the Cunard Line vessel the RMS Carinthia which is in a very good condition.

CONDITION -- Very Good

HISTORY -- RMS Carinthia was an ocean liner built in 1956 as one of the four Saxonia class ships. She sailed for Cunard Line from her completion until 1968 when she was sold to Sitmar Line, rebuilt into a full-time cruise ship and renamed SS Fairsea.  She was then sold to China Sea Cruises and renamed SS China Sea Discovery.
