DESCRIPTION -- Relatively recent published book entitled 'CONVOY' which covers merchant sailors at war during 1939 - 1945. It is by Philip Kaplan & Jack Currie and was produced in 1998 and the book has over 200 pages and is in a mint unused condition. The original cost of this item is far far more than the asking price and it is a fascinating book, which covers the period in much great detail.

(A) THE AIRCRAFT BUILDERS. Showing British aircraft production 1935 - 45.
(B) BOMBER COMMAND CONTINUES. German offensive July 1941-June 1944.
(C) AIR BATTLE OF MALTA. June 1940 - Nov 1942. Lots of photographs in this one.
(D) ONE OF OUR AIRCRAFT IS MISSING. The book from the film with many photographs. Date about 1942.
(E) THERE'S FREEDOM IN THE AIR. Date about 1944.

DESCRIPTION -- Rare book by Lothar-Gunther Buchheim entitled 'U BOAT WAY' which gives complete details of life from the German side of the actions during the 2nd World War. It contains many original photographs taken from German officers during their time in the war and it tells of an interesting perspective of life at sea aboard this type of vessel. The condition of the book is very good with some slight damage to the front cover and it was published in 1975, is a nice collectable book, with the size being 11" x 9" (28cm x 23cm).

DESCRIPTION -- From the old soldiers/airman in wartime, we find a collection of superb hand worked handkerchiefs. This is a fabulous and most unusual set, with no doubt a little bit of history attached somewhere to each or all of the items. After so many years they are all still in such a good condition and were probably made for their wives and girlfriends, and they are as follows:

1) The Royal Berkshire Regiment. This piece shows very ornate work and is dated circa 1917-19. Size is 7" x 7" (18cm x 18cm).
2) The Royal Army Pay Corps. Probably the last example of this type of work to be found and is dated circa 1954. Size is 9" x 9" (23cm x 23cm).
3) The Royal Air Force. Shows a little fading but still a very collectable piece, which dates circa 1940. Size is 11" x 11" (28cm x 28cm).
4) The Intelligence Corps. Although printed on it is still a scarce item to find around and dates circa 1940-46. Size is 14" x 14" 36cm x 36cm).
