DESCRIPTION-- Ship Shape early souvenir lapel pin from the famous Scottish paddle steamer the Waverley which is in an excellent condition.

CONDITION --
HISTORY -- The Waverley is the last seagoing passenger-carrying paddle steamer in the world. Built in 1946, she sailed from Craigendoran on the Firth of Clyde to Arrochar on Loch Long until 1973. Bought by the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society (PSPS), she has been restored to her 1947 appearance and now operates passenger excursions around the British coast.

DESCRIPTION -- Ship Shape early rare to find souvenir lapel pin from the Cunard Line vessel the Carinthia which is in an unused almost as new condition and dates from the 1920s/1930s.

CONDITION --
HISTORY -- The RMS Carinthia was first laid down in Barrow-in-Furness in 1924 with the yard number Hull 586. Originally she had the name Servia but was renamed at the time of her launching on 24 February 1925. She made her maiden voyage on 22 August 1925 from Liverpool to New York City. At her launch she was the largest of the five post First World War intermediate size liners

HISTORY -- The Royal Mail Line, formally known as the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company was a British shipping company founded in London in 1839 by a Scot, James MacQueen. The line's motto was Per Mare Ubique (everywhere by sea). After good and bad times it became the largest shipping group in the world in 1927 when it took over the White Star Line.

DESCRIPTION -- Original early lapel pin souvenir from the Cunard Line vessel the RMS Ivernia which is dated from the 1950's and which is in a very good condition. This type of item is now difficult to locate.

HISTORY -- The RMS Ivernia was a Saxonia class ocean liner, built in 1955 by John Brown & Company in Clydebank, Scotland for Cunard Line, for their transatlantic passenger service between the UK and Canada. In 1963 she was rebuilt as a cruise ship and renamed RMS Franconia, after the famous pre-war liner RMS Franconia. She continued to sail for Cunard until being withdrawn from service and laid up in 1971.

DESCRIPTION -- Original souvenir lapel pin from the British India Steam Navigation Company vessel the Nevasa, which is in an excellent condition and dates from the 1950's/1960's.

CONDITION -- Very Good
HISTORY -- Built in 1955 she was the British India Steam Navigation Co's biggest ship, the 20,527-ton Nevasa. She was the first troopship built since the end of the Second World War. With accommodation for 500 officers and their families and 1,000 NCOs and men on the troop deck, Nevasa introduced a new era of trooping by sea. She had many comforts compared with older vessels, including stabilisers to reduce rolling in rough sea. Nevasa was built on the Clyde and launched on November 30, 1955, and sailed into Southampton for the first time the following year.

HISTORY -- The MS Dunera began life as the HMT Dunera and was a British passenger ship which gave her name to an infamous case of wartime maltreatment and injustice. After trials in 1937, she was handed over to the British-India Steam Navigation Company and served as a passenger liner and an educational cruise ship before seeing extensive service troopship throughout the Second World War.

DESCRIPTION-- From the British India Steam Navigation Company this is an early lapel pin from the famous vessel the SS Uganda.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- The SS Uganda was a British steamship that had a varied and notable career. She was built in 1952 as a passenger liner, and successively served as a cruise ship, hospital ship, troop ship and stores ship. She was laid up in 1985 and scrapped in 1992.

HISTORY -- RMS Empress of England was an ocean liner built in 1956-1957 by Vickers-Armstrongs, Newcastle, United Kingdom for the Canadian Pacific Steamships. The ship was launched in 1956; and she undertook her maiden voyage in 1957. She was a near identical sister ship to Empress of Britain.

DESCRIPTION -- Ship Shape souvenir lapel pin from the ferry crossing vessel the Duke of Rothesay which is in a good condition and dates from the 1960's.

CONDITION --
HISTORY -- The Duke of Rothesay was a railway steamer passenger ship that operated in Europe from 1956 to 1975. Along with her sister ships the TSS Duke of Lancaster and the TSS Duke of Argyll she was amongst the last passenger-only steamers built for British Railways (at that time, also a ferry operator).
