HISTORY -- The Canadian Pacific Line was a company under the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR). The Canadian Pacific Railway Company was formed in 1881, and the company soon entered into ship-owning. In the beginning limited to transportation along Lake superior and the Great Lakes.

DESCRIPTION -- From the vessel The Empress of Canada from The Canadian Pacific Lines Company this is a set of cocktail spoons and are all in a great condition with the spoons size 6" (15cm) long.

HISTORY -- The RMS Empress of Canada was an ocean liner built in 1961 by Vickers-Armstrongs, Walker-on-Tyne, England for the Canadian Pacific Steamship Company. This ship, the third CP vessel to be named Empress of Canada, regularly traversed the transatlantic route between Canada and Europe for the next decade. She was distinguished by the prefix RMS while in service with Canadian Pacific.

DESCRIPTION -- From the vessel the Empress of Britain from the Canadian Pacific Line, which was built 1955 and sold 1964 this is a souvenir picture of the vessel which is in an excellent condition.

HISTORY -- The RMS Empress of Britain was an ocean liner built between 1928 and 1931 by John Brown shipyard in Scotland and owned by Canadian Pacific Steamship Company. This ship was the second of three CP vessels named Empress of Britain - provided scheduled trans-Atlantic passenger service from spring to autumn between Canada and Europe from 1931 until 1939.

DESCRIPTION -- From the Donaldson Atlantic Line, which is an offshoot of the Cunard White Star Line Shipping Company, this is a 'Rates Of Passage' booklet for the Canadian Services and is dated 15th March 1938 with the size being 4" x 9" (10cm x 23cm).

CONDITION -- Very Good
HISTORY -- The company was founded in 1855 as the Donaldson Brothers. They acquired their first ship in 1858, a wooden barque, and it was placed in service between the Clyde, Brazil and the River Plate. About 1880, they added routes from Glasgow to Quebec and Montreal. In 1894, Bristol to Montreal was added but was soon discontinued due to a lack of freight. They became Donaldson Line Limited in 1913. In 1916 the Anchor Line obtained a controlling interest in the four Donaldson passenger steamers and a separate company, Anchor-Donaldson Ltd was formed to operate them.
