DESCRIPTION -- Postcard sized photograph of the Royal Naval ship HMS Euryalus which is in an excellent condition.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- HMS Euryalus (F15) was a Leander-class frigate of the Royal Navy (RN). Like the rest of the class, Euryalus was named after a figure of mythology. Euryalus was built by Scotts Shipbuilders of Greenock. Euryalus was launched on 6 June 1963, and commissioned on 16 September 1964. This Euryalus was the sixth of the name and had a strong liaison with the Lancashire Fusiliers, whose motto (Omnia Audax) she bore from the 4th Euryalus landing its 1st Battalion at W Beach, Gallipoli, where the Regiment "won six Victoria Crosses before breakfast".

DESCRIPTION -- Postcard of the Royal Naval ship HMS Lincoln which is in an excellent condition.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- HMS Lincoln (F99) was a Salisbury-class or Type 61 aircraft direction frigate of the British Royal Navy. She was built by Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company in Govan on the River Clyde. The ship was laid down in 1955, launched 6 April 1959, and completed 7 July 1960. She was named after the city of Lincoln, Lincolnshire.

HISTORY -- HMS Hermione (F58) was a Leander-class frigate of the Royal Navy (RN). She was, like the rest of her class, named after a figure of mythology. Hermione was built by Alexander Stephen and Sons, though she was completed by Yarrow Shipbuilders. She was launched on 26 April 1967 and commissioned on 11 July 1969.

HISTORY -- HMS Eagle was an aircraft carrier of the Royal Navy, in service 1951-1972. With her sister ship Ark Royal, she was one of the two largest Royal Navy aircraft carriers yet built.

DESCRIPTION -- Postcard sized photograph of the Royal Naval ship HMS Ashanti which is in an excellent condition.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- HMS Ashanti was a Tribal-class frigate of the Royal Navy. She was named after the Ashanti people, an ethnic group located in Ghana. The frigate was sunk as a target in 1988. Ashanti was built by Yarrow, of Scotstoun, at a cost of 5,315,000 and was the first commissioned Royal Navy warship to be equipped with combined steam and gas (COSAG) engines. She was launched on 9 March 1959 and commissioned on 23 November 1961.

DESCRIPTION -- Postcard sized photograph of the Royal Naval ship HMS Dido which is in an excellent condition.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- HMS Dido was a Royal Navy (RN) Leander-class frigate. Entering service in 1961, Dido was involved in the Indonesia-Malaysia confrontation, served with NATO's Standing Naval Force Atlantic on several occasions, and was one of the frigates used for the filming of the drama series Warship. Following a defence review at the start of the 1980's, the ship was transferred to the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN), and was recommissioned as HMNZS Southland. Southland remained in service until 1995.

DESCRIPTION -- Souvenir spoon from the Royal Naval vessel the HMS Hermes which is in a great condition and the size is 5" (13cm) long (click on the picture for a close up of the item).

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- HMS Hermes was a conventional British aircraft carrier and the last of the Centaur-class. Hermes was in service with the Royal Navy from 1959 until 1984, and she served as the flagship of the British forces during the 1982 Falklands War. After being sold to India in 1986, the vessel was recommissioned and remains in service with the Indian Navy as the INS Viraat.

DESCRIPTION -- Postcard sized photograph of the Royal Naval ship HMS Ambuscade which is in an excellent condition.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- HMS Ambuscade was a Type 21 frigate of the Royal Navy. She was built by Yarrow Shipbuilders Ltd, Glasgow, Scotland. She was sold to Pakistan in 1993 and is still in service as the PNS Tariq. Ambuscade took part in the Falklands War and by the mid-1980's was suffering from cracking in her hull. She was taken in for refitting, with a steel plate being welded down each side of the ship. At the same time modifications were made to reduce hull noise. Exocet launchers were also added in 'B' position later on in 1984/5 and 3" launchers relocated to 02 deck midships.
