CONDITION -- Very Good
HISTORY -- The Battle of Trafalgar (21 October 1805) was a naval engagement fought by the Royal Navy against the combined fleets of the French and Spanish Navies, during the War of the Third Coalition (August - December 1805) of the Napoleonic Wars (1803'1815).

DESCRIPTION -- Souvenir china mug from Lord Nelson's famous flagship HMS Victory. It is in a great condition and the size is 3" (9cm) high.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- HMS Victory is a 104-gun first-rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, laid down in 1759 and launched in 1765. She is most famous as Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. She was also Keppel's flagship at Ushant, Howe's flagship at Cape Spartel and Jervis's flagship at Cape St Vincent. After 1824 she served as a harbour ship. In 1922 she was moved to a dry dock at Portsmouth, England, and preserved as a museum ship. She continues to be flagship of the Second Sea Lord and is the oldest naval ship still in commission.

DESCRIPTION -- Interesting Nelson related piece which is an old shaped copper ashtray with 5 side rests, which shows a blue centre section with the famous flagship HMS Victory on it. The rounded shaped dish also has a dark blue scroll across it showing the ships name on. This old ashtray souvenir piece is in a great condition and the size is 4" (11.5cm) wide.

HISTORY -- Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson, 1st Duke of Bronté KB (29 September 1758 ' 21 October 1805) was a British flag officer in the Royal Navy. He was noted for his inspirational leadership, superb grasp of strategy, and unconventional tactics, all of which resulted in a number of decisive naval victories, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars, (1797-1815).
