DESCRIPTION -- Dating from the 1960's this is a round dish souvenir from the ship the Cunard Countess. The size is 4" (10cm) and it is in a very good condition.

CONDITION -- Very Good
HISTORY -- The ship was completed in 1976 as Cunard Countess for Cunard Line and was a popular ship in the Caribbean cruise market for 20 years. After leaving Cunard service in 1996 she had a number of owners before being purchased by Majestic in 2004. Ocean Countess then enjoyed many years as a cruise ship owned by Majestic International Cruises of Greece.

DESCRIPTION -- A souvenir from the Cunard Line vessel the QE2 which is a glass oblong dish which is 6" (16.5cm) x 3" (8.5cm) in size. The glass dish shows on it a picture and name of the vessel and is in an excellent condition.

HISTORY -- Queen Elizabeth 2, often referred to simply as QE2, is an ocean liner built for the Cunard Line which was operated by Cunard as both a transatlantic liner and a cruise ship from 1969 to 2008. She was designed for the transatlantic service from her home port of Southampton, UK, to New York, and was named after the earlier Cunard liner RMS Queen Elizabeth. She served as the flagship of the line from 1969 until succeeded by RMS Queen Mary 2 in 2004.

DESCRIPTION -- From the vessel Vistafjord this is a round souvenir dish and the size is 4" (10.5cm) wide and shows on the dish 'VISTAFJORD September 6 ' September 20 1976'. It is in an as new condition and bottom marked by makers and is still in its decorative presentation box.

CONDITION -- As new/Unused
HISTORY -- On 15th May 1973, more than four months ahead of schedule, the Vistafjord was delivered to Norwegian America Line. After a naming ceremony in Oslo, she initiated her first transatlantic crossing to New York on 22nd May and later that year begun to make long distance cruise for the NAL loyal clientele, together with her sister.

DESCRIPTION -- RMS Queen Mary round copper souvenir ashtray which is 3" (9.5cm) wide. It is dated circa 1930's and shows the company houseflag on top of dish. A very rare find and one of the early souvenirs from the vessel.

CONDITION -- Good
HISTORY -- The construction of the RMS Queen Mary represented the zenith of passenger ship building for Cunard. Plans began for a new record breaking liner to replace the Mauretania as early as 1926. It was not until 1930, however, that Cunard announced that a new 1000 ft, 81,000 ton liner was to be built by John Brown & Co Ltd. The keel of the ship was laid down on 31 January 1931.

DESCRIPTION -- A Cunard Line milk jug of the type as used on board. It is a Bird of Paradise design and dated from the 1930's. It is bottom marked with company name and shows a small hairline crack to the base. This is a very rare find and the size is 4" (10cm) high (click on the picture to see a close up of the floral design).

CONDITION -- Good
HISTORY -- In the later part of Cunard Line history, in 1998 Cunard was acquired by the Carnival Corporation, and accounted for 8.7% of that company's revenue in 2012. Five years later in 2003, QE2 was replaced on the transatlantic runs by Queen Mary 2 (QM2). The line also operates Queen Victoria (QV) and Queen Elizabeth (QE). At the moment, Cunard is the only shipping company to operate a scheduled passenger service between Europe and North America.

DESCRIPTION -- From the vessel the RMS Mauretania this is a souvenir bottle opener showing the company houseflag on front and is dated circa 1950's and is 4" (10cm) long (click on the picture for a closer view).

CONDITION -- Fair
HISTORY -- The RMS Mauretania was launched on 28 July 1938 at the Cammell Laird yard in Birkenhead, England and was completed in May 1939. The second Mauretania was the first ship built for the newly formed Cunard White Star company following the merger in April 1934 of the Cunard and White Star Line.

DESCRIPTION -- Souvenir from the vessel MV Vistafjord which is a dish which shows on it the route and map of a cruise in 1979 and reads 'MV VISTAFJORD TRANSATLANTIK-KREUZFAHRT' Trans Atlantic Cruise Jan 5 - Jan 20 1979. It is 4" (10.5cm) round and is in an as new condition and bottom marked by makers.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- Cunard Line, under the direction of Trafalgar House Co., acquired Norwegian America Line in 1983 for US$73 million. With this purchase, Cunard gained two superb liners; Sagafjord and Vistafjord (later Caronia). Vistafjord was completed in 1975 and undertook a $30 million refit in late 1994. During this refurbishment, Vistafjord was given a completely refreshed interior and retained her high quality rating. The work included the addition of two large "owners suites" to her top decks near the funnel.

DESCRIPTION -- Very rare to find item which is in an unused excellent condition, this is a souvenir bone china dish from the Cunard Line vessel the RMS Queen Elizabeth. It is 4" (12cm) square and dates circa 1950's and shows a picture of the vessel in the centre.

HISTORY -- The RMS Queen Elizabeth was an ocean liner operated by the Cunard Line. With her running mate Queen Mary she provided luxury liner service between Southampton, the United Kingdom, and New York City, the United States, via Cherbourg, France. She was also contracted for over twenty years to carry the Royal Mail as the second half of the two ships' weekly express service.

DESCRIPTION -- From the Cunard Line vessel the Laconia a silver-plated napkin ring. It shows on the front the company logo and is dated circa 1940's and is boxed.

CONDITION -- Excellent
HISTORY -- The second RMS Laconia was a Cunard ocean liner, built by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson as a successor of the 1911-1917 Laconia. The new ship was launched on 9 April 1921, and made her maiden voyage on 25 May 1922 from Southampton to New York. At the outbreak of World War II she was converted into an Armed Merchant Cruiser, and subsequently a troopship. Like her predecessor, sunk during the First World War, this Laconia was also destroyed by a German submarine. Some estimates of the death toll have suggested that over 1,649 people were killed when the Laconia sank.

DESCRIPTION -- Rare to find an as used on board china milk jug from the Cunard Line. Made in the traditional square design and cream colour and is bottom marked 'Cunard Steamship Company Ltd'. The size is 3" (8cm) high and it is 2" (5cm) square and looks in great condition.

HISTORY -- One of the most well-known shipping companies, Cunard Line is a British-American cruise line based at Carnival House in Southampton, England, operated by Carnival UK and owned by Carnival Corporation & plc since 2005. It has been a leading operator of passenger ships on the North Atlantic, celebrating 175 years of operation in 2015.
